I'm Tired
Hey, if your reading this I hope you are well.
Wherever you are in the world and whatever device you are reading this on right this second, I hope you are doing OK fellow internet person. I mean it.
I'm tired.
This week has been a lot of work, and never feeling like there is enough time in the week to do things. I miss the weird hours I used to work. This Mon-Fri thing, with normal office hours might not be all that it's cracked up to be.
One of my team I am in charge of handed her notice in yesterday.
She's staying in the organisation which is great. She gets a 10k pay increase with probably less work to do, less stress and not working with some other people who can sometimes be challenging to work with.
I'm happy for her.
I need to find a new worker now.
I've told the bosses the role needs to be regraded. Our role isn't simple admin. It's more than that.
If they keep the pay the same all the time, the turnover will be there. Eventually we all have mental breakdowns and then I'll leave at some point.
History repeats. People know. Nothing changes.
Looking forward to the weekend. Got an ever growing list of things I am supposed to be doing.
Oh yeah, I gave up on the winning thing. Ended up buying a metal detector.
