Waiting for the Excitment to Die Down

When there is something new, different, or exciting, it is very easy to get consumed by it. I think, as humans, this happens a lot. What the thing is and what excites you about it is personal. What works for you might not work for others. That's OK.

For me, right now , it's this: Bear Blog. This platform and the posts that appear on it.

Am I checking the most recent page on the website multiple times a day? Yup. Am I checking it on my RSS reader as a way to give me a false sense of reducing what I am doing? Yup.

Will this die down? Yes, it will. I just don't know when. The same thing happened when I started a podcast 12 years ago. It's a weekly one, and when we got started, we recorded 7 episodes in the first 2 weeks, releasing them as soon as we could. No audience, no idea what we were doing, just the excitement of creating and releasing it onto the internet.

Once the excitement dies down , I'll focus on other things I should be looking at ; until then, I'm enjoying my time here.
