Time for Future Me

I like websites that do one random thing and they do it well. You might not use it all the time, hell you might only use it once a year but when you do you know what you are getting.

I came across one of these sites years ago, it's called www.futureme.org and I was skeptical at first. The idea is you write a message to your future self and they will deliver it. It works and it's a little surprise when an email I wrote in the past turns up.

From memory I've used it around 2 to 3 times over the last 10 years I think.

It has a couple of options you can choose:

The messages themselves can either be private and only you see them, or public but anonymous. I keep mine private for only me and in the past I'm sure I chose 5 years. It feels like 10 years might be a new option. I checked out the public letters, but nothing really seemed interesting.

There is a paid membership but it doesn't really give anything I am interested in at all, and the free version works great.

I'm going to have a think about what I'm going to write now to read in 10 years time.

OK, maybe scratch all of that, looks like you need to pay now just to do anything :(
