Natural Disaster Preparedness
Are you prepared for a natural disaster?
I'd like to think I am, but in reality I'm not so sure. It's hard to judge until something actually happens, the severity of the disaster and how long it will go on for.
We've been told to prepare for a cyclone, supposed to start hitting in a few hours time, with tomorrow being the worst of it.
It will just be the wind that our area will have to cope with. Unlike others near the coast.
Luckily for me my partner doesn’t think it’s crazy to be prepared.
How much stuff do you stockpile? How much do you spend on said stockpile?
As per any pre warned emergency toilet paper and bread seems to be the main things missing from supermarkets. Hopefully everyone will be OK with what they’ve got.
I’ve got the basics covered, but haven’t prepared a go bag. Touch wood we don’t need to evacuate.
I’ll reassess everything once it’s all over.
