Multiple Messaging Overload

I've been slack at replying to messages recently. Something that I'm normally good at.

I think it comes down to these things:

  1. My mind is fried from work
  2. There are too many ways to communicate with people

I might sound like an old man shouting at the clouds, maybe I am, but there are too many ways people can interact with you, and it's becoming tiring.

Everyone seems to have a favourite way.

Messaging apps, DM's, texts, email, phone calls etc.

A group, a project or family all have their own preferred way to communicate. It’s tiring.

I like email. There is a time and a place for it. For me it’s still solid.

Text messaging is probably next on my list of things I like. It’s direct and simple.

When it comes to messaging apps, I’m not sure what my pick would be to be honest. I’d like it if everyone just used the one. The more there are there’s more to keep track of, and more chances of overlooking them.

I’m not sure what the future holds, but when your trying to be more mindful with your time it can be hard.

What’s your favourite way to communicate?
