Every Relationship Comes to an End
I was almost going to put this down as advice that stuck, but I'm unsure if it fits that category.
I want to say I heard this around 10 years ago, maybe even longer. My very vague memory was it was from someone talking about death or cancer or something just as fun.
For some reason these 6 words stuck in my brain.
It made things better. Or helped me realise that yes, every single relationship will come to and end. How and when, not really sure.
- People separating
- Moving away
- Death
- Change of work
It doesn't really matter who it is, the concept is the same.
I think I like it more than everyone dies, because relationships end for many different reasons. It's part of life, it's part of what we all have to go through whether we like it or not and in some ways it brings me comfort.
Not that I'm out there looking to end relationships. Far from it.
It's just some nice words to remember when life is carrying on.
